30 Day Blog Challenge Day 13: What's In My Backpack?

Backpack, Bag, Travel, VacationsIt's day 13 of my blog challenge. I needed to change the topic slightly because it was originally "What's in your handbag?" I don't have one of those, but I do have a backpack that I take with me most everywhere. It's actually a laptop case, but in the shape of a backpack. So here we go.

--Reading material. Sometimes it's a book. Right now it's a Justice League graphic novel and a couple of writing magazines. I'm about a third of the way through the graphic novel and I'm struggling to keep up with all the characters. I know the universe pretty well, but there are just so many people to keep up with. But I'm loving it. One of the magazines has an interview with Jhumpa Lahiri, one of my favorite authors.

--A battery-powered phone charger. I got it from the AP reading last year and it's cool because it will charge my phone almost completely from nearly empty.

--About a bazillion pens and pencils. Mostly pens. Nothing fun to say about that.

--Bookmarks and business cards. The bookmarks are mine. I give them out as often as possible. I'm not convinced they've helped me sell even one book, but they make me feel like an actual writer. The business cards are in case I run out of bookmarks.

--Nail clippers. Nice to be prepared. Never know when you'll get a hangnail.
Paper Clip, Office, Stationery, Desk, Clip, Connect
--A handful of paper clips. I have no idea where they came from.

--Two gift cards. One is from Tim Horton's and the other is just a generic Visa gift card. I was given them by my school's choir boosters for playing Santa in their Christmas concert.

One thing that isn't there is a laptop. I rarely carry a laptop in it anymore because I have a junker that the school gave me that sits on my desk there and I bought a really nice one to use at home.

There you go. Sorry there wasn't anything glamorous in it.

PS--DON'T FORGET THAT MY BOOKS ARE EACH .99 FOR KINDLE UNTIL APRIL 19!
